What’s interesting to me in this article is the idea that peer pressure makes not already bad men do bad things to get into the “inner ring”.
How big is peer pressure in your life?
Galatians 1:10 talks about “peer pressure” in this manner: “For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.”**
Your first goal in life must be to please God – then pleasing mankind will follow that (or not!). When we get this goal right, we live for His glory (I Cor. 10:31) and not for our own glory that is given us when mankind is “pleased” with us.
C.S. Lewis knew what he was talking about!
